Important notice for all incoming travelers on Yellow-Fever Vaccination requirements

REMINDER ON REQUIREMENT FOR A VALID YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CERTIFICATE FOR TRAVELLERS ARRIVING FROM COUNTRIES WITH RISK OF YELLOW FEVER TRANSMISSION

We want to take this opportunity to remind all travelers about Singapore’s yellow fever vaccination requirements for travelers. You might be stopped from entering Singapore – please check if you require one: [https://moh.gov.sg/diseases-updates/yellow-fever]

Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne acute viral hemorrhagic disease caused by the yellow fever virus. Although Singapore is free from yellow fever, we remain at risk of importation and transmission of the virus, given our position as a trade and travel hub and the presence of the mosquito vector.

  1. All travelers, including Singapore residents, with travel history to countries with risk of yellow fever transmission (annex) in the six days prior to arrival in Singapore are required to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate and present it to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officer upon arrival to Singapore. Please note that the requirement to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate applies to travelers who visited any area, region or city in the countries listed in the annex. The certificate is also required for travelers with more than 12 hours airport transit in these.
  2. The International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is only considered valid 10 days after vaccination and the validity lasts for the life of the person vaccinated. Travel agencies should inform travelers intending to visit countries with risk of yellow fever transmission to receive the yellow fever vaccine at least 10 days prior to their
  3. Travelers without a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (e.g. unvaccinated individuals, including those who are ineligible to receive the vaccination, and travelers whose certificate has yet to become valid) are liable to be quarantined under Section 31 of the Infectious Disease Act, for up to six days upon arrival in Singapore. Quarantine must be served at designated vector-free government quarantine facility.
  4. You may also refer to MOH website [https://moh.gov.sg/diseases-updates/yellow-fever] for more information on yellow fever.
